Cjhristine's Gown And Hurricanes

Well we have a rather large storm coming our way tomorrow. So we spent all day today working on Christine's green and gold gown, with the intention to sit and hand sewn should the electricity disappear. We will certainly be making an authentic renaissance period gown, should we find ourselves sewing by candle light.

We have also stocked up on rum, incase the handwork is done before the electricty comes back on. We shouldn't need to plan for this, but we often are without electricty, storm on no storm. It seems that the electric company has some trouble with our area. However we have candles and we know how to use them.

MMmmmm Rum. Yummy Rum Goodness. If you haven't given it a go yet, you should try Appleton Rum and pepsi/coke. It's smooth and yummy.

Wedding Gowns and Other Musssings

Ahhh where are we and what have we done with ourselves? The sewing machines are fixed, well at least one of them. It only took three tries, guess thrid time is a charm. The backup machine which also broke at the same time, is still in the shop.

It took a week to get a hold of the accountant, who had a family problem to take care of, but the taxes are done. .(Though one would think the Queen might be a bit more forgiving and dismiss our having to pay them) At last this moring we saw our accountant, but not before there was an ugly parking ticket spallped upon the front of our carriage. The offending ticket was for an expired tag. Only the tag was not expired. We are of a mind to think that our apprentice John Percy is much smarter than one might have previously thought. At least John Percy can read numbers, even on tags.

We are currently involved in Lady Rachel's wedding gown. It is coming along well and we are very pleased with combinations of ivory, gold and hunter green. We had planned on sewing pearls upon the bodice this evening but, do to some nasty odors in the air we have chosen instead to play cards with Raliegh, and will sew tomorrow.

We are also planning Christine's renaissance gown which is to by worn for Madgrial and she will also be attening the Kansas City faire. But first we shall finish Lady Rachel's gown.

Queen Mary's Gown

Your Royal Highness Queen Mary,

If it pleases Your Grace, thou need not to worry as my aquaitance has been baned from our studio, as all her begging and pleading for your gown became too much to stand for, and the safety and detail of your gown isthe most important of all our tasks. We have bidden John Percy to hie her away, and have sent Your Grace's gown by secret courrier.

The gown should arrive before the week's end and be safely in your hands. Please know that the young woman is not a common theif but an admirer of your most wonderous taste in fabrics, who can not help herself. We plead with you, and depend upon your well known kindness to have pity upon her.

Your most humble and affectionate servant
